Apr 06, 2010 I plan on re-running the Ravenloft Grand Conjunction series again soon. One of my favorite module series. These work well when supplemented in your normal campaign. Mine being Greyhawk of course. I think the best Ravenloft adventure after the grand conjunction would be Castles Forlorn. That was alot of fun to run.

Running a campaign in Ravenloft
I am relatively new to D&D, just started playing in January with 3.5. I'm making the switch over to 5e now and want to start DMing later this fall. I had planned to make a gothic campaign and it wasn't until recently that I discovered Ravenloft. I've seen plenty of suggestions online as to how to run a Ravenloft campaign, but I still have some questions that I couldn't find.
A) Since I'm playing 5e, how is the Curse of Strahd? Does it have enough material in the book for someone to take it and make a homebrew campaign?
B) Are there any other books/online resources that are a must have for a Ravenloft campaign?
Feel free to give your own advice too, I always like to have second/third/fourth opinions. Thanks!
